Summer Camps

School may be out for the summer, but learning is always in. Bloom Learning Centre offers several fun and exciting week long day camps to children aged 3-8 during the months of July and August.

Our camps are focused on fun learning activities that are geared towards your child’s interests and provide a flexible solution for your summer childcare needs that kids will love! Our activities will see your child having so much fun that he or she won’t even realize that he or she is learning! The camps are a great way for children to develop socialization skills and build new friendships.

Depending on your needs, you can register your child for as little as one week of summer camp or as many as eight. The core program runs from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Before and after care is also available for a small fee.

The program is taught by a certified teacher with a Professional A Teaching Certificate along with the assistance of qualified support staff and we maintain a low child/teacher ratio. You can rest assured your child will be safe and well taken care of. Activities are designed for children ages 3-8 and adapted to ensure they are engaging and developmentally appropriate.

Summer Camp Selections

Bloom is celebrating offering 10 years of summer camps to the city of Regina with our special All Star Edition. This summer we are bringing back our most popular and most enjoyed camps from over the years! Only our all stars made the cut and this means every week is sure to be a hit with your child. Check out the fun theme descriptions below we will be offering this summer! Registration opens March 11th at 9:00am online!

Balloon Bliss
Featuring
Joy Filled Facepainting & Balloon Twisting

Offered for the first-time last year this balloon themed camp was a huge hit! Balloons always make kids smile but it doesn’t have to be your birthday to enjoy them. In this camp students will enjoy a variety of art, science and movement activities all using- you guessed it- balloons! Everything from a cool spinning 3D hot air balloon craft to building your own balloon yo-yos and rockets this week will offer a combination of new activities and a few favourites. We will finish the week with Balloon Olympics where students will race to complete each sport challenge before their time is up and their balloon bursts! Joy Filled Balloon Twisting will be stopping in to make a balloon creation for each camper!

Dinosaur Dig

Does your child dig dinosaurs? Now your little one literally can! In this classic camp your child will become a mini paleontologist as we learn all about dinosaurs through fun crafts and activities. It will be a dino-mite week as we build our own dinosaurs, make fossil dough, hatch baby dinos and go on our very own fossil dig!

Slime Spectacular

There is nothing more fun than a whole week dedicated to slime. Kids go crazy for this gooey substance! We are pulling our best messy creations over the years all into one jam packed week! Campers will create and manipulate magnetic slime, sand slime, cloud dough, Oobleck, flubber, floam and even edible slime just to name a few. Campers will even get to take home some of their creations along with our secret recipes so they can make their very own slime at home!

Stunning Space

Launch into outer space with us! In this always popular camp children will explore the properties of space as they participate in art activities and interactive games and experiments all about planets, galaxies and gravity. Our mini astronauts will make moon rocks, straw rockets and even a galaxy in a jar. This camp is truly out of this world!

Creative Cooking

Wish someone else would do the cooking in your house? Leverage your child’s talents and foster an interest in the art of cooking with our amazing “Creative Cooking” camp! Students will become junior chefs (complete with their own apron and chef hat) and will have a blast preparing easy recipes and participating in cooking themed art projects and activities. Recipes include making ice cream from scratch and inventing your very own unique cookie dough recipe. Yum!

Eye Spy

Eye spy with my little eye something……FUN! This spy themed camp had a long waitlist when it was last offered! It is jam packed with cool activities to keep your inquisitive child’s skills sharp this summer. Whether they are avoiding laser beams, deciphering secret code or unveiling messages written in invisible ink their agility, observation and memory skills will be put to the test to see if they have what it takes to be a spy! We will end the week with a mini escape room challenge where the new spy graduates must solve a series of clues to save the day!

Amazing Art
Featuring
Cathedral Art School

Do you want your child to discover their artistic side without repainting your walls with colorful handprints? Then this is the camp for you! Leave the mess to us. We’ve complied our coolest art projects from over the years that have been so much fun to make into one incredible week. Your child will be amazed by the works of art they can create. During the week an artist from Cathedral Art School will be stopping by to help us add to our collection of masterpieces!

Gaming Galore
Featuring
Curbside Games

Is your child counting down the days to summer holidays because it means more time playing their favourite video games? This popular camp will get your little gamer away from the screen, but they will have just as much fun as they participate in crafts and activities that bring their favourite games and characters to life! Activities include learning simple coding, designing your own controller, hunting for Yoshi eggs, making your own Pokémon poke ball and snacking on Minecraft inspired snacks just to name a few! We will end the week with a fun visit from Curbside Games as they bring their mobile video game theatre right to our front door for the ultimate gaming experience!
