Summer Camps

School may be out for the summer, but learning is always in. Bloom Learning Centre offers several fun and exciting week long day camps to children aged 3-8 during the months of July and August.

Our camps are focused on fun learning activities that are geared towards your child’s interests and provide a flexible solution for your summer childcare needs that kids will love! Our activities will see your child having so much fun that he or she won’t even realize that he or she is learning! The camps are a great way for children to develop socialization skills and build new friendships.

Depending on your needs, you can register your child for as little as one week of summer camp or as many as nine. The core program runs from 9:00am-4:30pm. Before and after care is also available for a small fee. The program is taught by a certified teacher with a Professional A Teaching Certificate along with the assistance of qualified support staff and we maintain a low child/teacher ratio. You can rest assured your child will be safe and well taken care of. Activities are designed for children ages 3-8 and adapted to ensure they are engaging and developmentally appropriate.

Movie Madness

No Camp July 2

Is your child crazy about minions, ponies, smurfs, emojis or all of the above? Back by popular demand with all new activities this week’s theme is inspired by your child’s favourite movie characters of the year. This camp was such a hit last year we couldn’t wait to offer it again! Whether we are making our own emoji pillows, creating smurf slime or snacking on Rainbow Dash’s magic wands this week has something for everyone! Concerned your child might become a couch potato? Don’t worry we only watch one movie as a wrap up to the week. Popcorn included!

Music Magic
*NEW* Featuring Engineering For Kids
Where science and music meet! In this brand-new music themed camp students will explore the science of sound and have the opportunity to make their very own musical instruments and participate in various musical games and activities. Engineering for Kids will be stopping by with their Makey Makey kits and will teach us how to make a functional piano out of celery sticks! The kids will be amazed and the silence you have at home while the kids are kept busy at camp will be music to your ears!

Eye Spy
With my little eye something……FUN! This spy themed camp is jam packed with cool activities to keep your inquisitive child’s skills sharp this summer. Whether they are avoiding laser beams, deciphering secret code or unveiling messages in invisible ink their agility, observation and memory skills will be put to the test to see if they have what it takes to be a spy! We will end the week with a mini escape room challenge where the new spy graduates must solve a series of clues to save the day!

Paint Party *NEW*
Featuring Fantastic Facepainting
This week’s camp is inspired by the popular night out activity for adults “Paint Nite” but this one’s for the kids and the fun keeps going all week long! From simple step by step paintings even our youngest campers can do to painting with bubbles and making your own puff paint your child will have a blast and bring home works of art to be proud of. The best part is you can leave the mess to us! We will end the week with a special visit from face painters!
July 30-August 3

Beyond The Book
We are bringing your favourite storybook characters to life as they leap off the page and into our summer camp activities this week. From your favourite Pokémon® characters to Pete the Cat, The Lorax or that mischievous pigeon that wants nothing more than to just drive the bus we will explore several popular children’s book characters and themes. Hatch your own Pokémon® eggs, learn how to draw Pikachu®, make truffula trees or create a hand print pigeon. The possibilities are endless, and our campers are sure to leave happily ever after!
August 7-10

No Camp Aug. 6th

Launch into outer space with us! In this camp children will explore the properties of space as they participate in art activities and interactive games and experiments all about planets, galaxies and gravity. Our mini astronauts will make moon rocks, straw rockets and even a galaxy in a jar. This camp is truly out of this world!

The Toy Box
Ever imagine what it would be like to be an elf in Santa’s workshop? Every child’s dream comes true this week as they become the toy makers! Campers will get to make and play with a variety of homemade toys and even invent a toy of their own! From classics like Tic Tac Toe and bouncy balls to the more modern fidget spinners and floam there is something everyone will love!

Minute To Win It
Based on the game show where contestants had 60 seconds to complete a simple task (that wasn’t always so simple) or risk being eliminated. Campers will have so much fun this week participating in activities and challenges designed just for them! Try your hand at cup stacking, balancing dice and transferring smarties using only a straw all while earning points for your team and attempting to advance to the next level. There will be timed challenges, puzzle challenges and even Lego® challenges. With so many exciting activities we challenge you not to have fun this week!

Boys and girls alike will enjoy this camp as campers create their very own super powers and transform into superheroes for the week!
